Words no longer painless,
the cold no longer a comfort,
The days seem to now bleed
together, nothing more then a false effort,
I remain here ever nameless,
a lifeless thing unspoken for.
Never to see the sunny weather,
not alive not anymore.
Heart drug through the mud
and winter, blades of ice slice the soft tissue,
Bring me down from this death
like high; the pain is no longer an issue.
Wood is hot and scolds as
it splinters, into a body once claimed as my own,
Life is short, and the world
is bitter, the fires out before it’s shown.
Exposed and laid out on a
table, knives cut into me like words of scorn,
Bodies lay just to the right
of me, flesh ripped and parts scattered far from where they were torn.
Alone and naked the fair anatomy, of a fabled unicorn.
